As a Ship Metalworker, you play a vital role in the construction and maintenance of ships.
Your work environment is diverse, both indoors and outdoors, sometimes at heights or in confined spaces, using different electric tools.
A typical workday is varied and challenging. You’ll start by reviewing technical drawings and gathering the materials you need. Next, you’ll set up scaffolding, install cables and pipes, and perform welding and assembly work. Safety is always your top priority, especially when working at heights, in confined spaces, or when hoisting and lifting materials. Throughout the day, you’ll coordinate with colleagues and discuss progress with your supervisor.
