Energy Transition

Renewing Haringvlietbrug

Source Rijkswaterstaat

The Haringvlietbrug is the bridge that connects Zuid-Holland, Zeeland and Noord-Brabant together. The 1220 metre long bridge was put into use in 1964. The movable part of the bridge reaches the end of his technical lifetime, and is therefore being renovated. After 2025 follows the renovation of the rest of the bridge.

The coming years many parties are working on changing and renovating the excisting infrastructure. Smart and sustainable techniques are used to complete this extensive job. This way the infrastructure will be renewed and useable for generations to come.

Developing new infrastructure is essential in the energy transition. This shows how important the transition is, and that it's a major agenda item in the Netherlands.
